Retro-a-go-go! makes our first appearance at Mask-Fest, a special event in conjunction with HorrorHound Weekend on September 8-10, 2017 at the Marriott Indianapolis East in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mask-fest is a convention dedicated to the art of monsters and brings together celebrities and artists who present the largest art-driven convention experience outside of Hollywood. You’ll be able to see and buy Retro-a-go-go!’s extremely popular Ghoulsville™ Horror Décor in all its ghoulish glory.
In 2016, Retro-a-go-go! created a buzz in the mask and monster community with the debut of our first series of Giant, Vac-Tastic Plastic vintage wall hanging monster masks. Series 1 launched with seven masks: Big Frankie (Sold Out), Bloody Werewolf, Fun-House Devil, Cold Death, Electric Wolfman (Sold Out), Vampyra Girl and Green Slime Skull. The nearly 2-foot tall masks brought about memories of Halloween’s past from monster and horror fans around the world.
2017 brought about the launch of a second and third series of limited run masks. Series 2 introduced our relationship with Ben Cooper, one of the largest and most prominent Halloween costume manufacturers in the United States. Every mask comes in a collector's edition box that is Presented by Ben Cooper and includes a clear top an an homage to the original window boxes and packaging of yesteryear. Seven of the ten masks introduced in Series 2 featured the ability to “Glow in the Dark”. Series 2 includes:
Blood of Dracula, Space Invader, Underwater Terror (Sold Out), Crud Mummy, Radioactive Astro Zombie, Fish Face, Mummy, Crypt Vampire, Alien Master and Deep Space Astro Zombie.
Series 3 is currently available for pre-order and includes ten new masks with expected delivery dates in time for Halloween 2017. The Series 3 masks introduces the officially licensed Mars Attacks Martian Invader and for the first time a 2-sided hanging décor mobile. Series 3 includes: Ghoulsville Bat Mobile, Mars Attacks Martian Invader, Nightmare Bride, The Ripper, Magic Glitter Witch, Magic Glitter Cat, Mad Bride, Classic Witch, Graveyard Ghost and Crazy Cat.
We’re excited to participate in Mask-Fest 2017 and look forward to next to the best of masks, masking special makeup effects, costumes, painting, artwork, sculpture, models and other related businesses. We can’t wait to see some original film props, makeup demos, face and body paints and the industry’s best Hollywood FX celebrities including Tom Savini ( www.savini.com), Jordu Schell (www.jorduschell.com) and Meg Wilbur (www.littlemonsterdoll.com). We look forward to seeing you there!
