Dr. Deadly & The Victim Timed Print Set Release
Available for 4 days only! The Victim /Dr.Deadly print set- each signed and numbered by the artist, Doug P’gosh.
Doug was commissioned by Danger Island Models to create box art for two model kits: The Victim and Dr. Deadly. To model kit fans, these two characters may look familiar. Aurora model kits released a series of small-scale monster models in the early 1970’s called Monster Scenes. The series of kits featured monsters, female victims, torture devices and more. Aurora even used the tag line that the kits were rated X….for Excitement! Unsurprisingly, the mothers of the 8-10 year old boys these kits were marketed to were outraged. The kits were repackaged and re-titled to try and save the line, but the damage was done. Monster Scenes faded from the scene.
Now Danger Island Models has introduced these characters with more detail and larger size for model kit makers. Check them out at Dangerislandmodels.com
artist Doug P’gosh has lent his talents to colorful, eye-popping tributes to each model kit! Both paintings were used for the box art packaging. Now you can have prints of each for your collection without all of the copy present on the packaging!
