NECA Remco Universal Monster Mask Set
Released by NECA in their loot crate series, here is the complete set of Universal Monster wearable masks, designed in the style of the 1980’s Remco Universal Monster action figures. Includes: Creature from the Black Lagoon, Frankenstein, Dracula, Phantom of the Opera, The Mummy and the Wolf Man. You don’t have to be a fan of the old Remco action figures to appreciate this set, nor do you ever have to wear them! They make for a fantastic shelf display in any monster kid’s crypt of horror. Their glossy, simplified sculpting style reminds us of old store mannequins of the 1960’s – in a monster styling!
As mentioned, each is a full head covering, latex rubber mask. Holes or slits are in each for the eyes, nose and mouth. Rubber on each is pliable and paint is as new. This set was never worn. They are each nicely shaped and were not stored flat to become misshapen. Each was displayed over a mannequin head. These will be shipped in large box with paper of bags used to stuff each mask and keep their shape - so expect an expensive shipping charge. Please note: Any significant overage (if any) will be refunded.
Each rubber mask is roughly 13”- 16” tall- depending on how much of the neck area is designed into the mask.
Where did we get these items? Our in-house artist & Creative Director is a pack rat and has been collecting all kinds of items that caught his eye for the last 40 plus years. He’s collected so much that he wants to thin out his herd and he’s doing so through the Retro-a-go-go! Studio store. Most of these items have been on display for Doug’s artistic inspiration or just to take his mind off the challenges of adulting. Now it’s your turn to care for these rare collectibles and enjoy them in YOUR archive!
